Div 1 vs Annerley

A tough first half from a very committed Annerley side. Took the game to us and cause us a lot of problems.Josh Jorgensen had a big influence on the nil- nil result at the half time. A different Western Spirit came out in the second half and finished comfortable 3-1 winners with goals from Matty Burke, Michael Janczuk and Jasper Yeuell. Annerley was using the full squad of 16 players with three new very good players we haven't seen before during the grading process causing many problems. We were down to the bare bones numberwise with only one sub but we still managed to finish stronger and scoring at the finish. Annerley is the best team we played so far. Congratulations to our squad three games three wins.
We would like to congratulate Ben Roydhouse of the U15 Div 2 for winning age champion with heaps of gold and silver medals at school national swimming titles in Melbourne.
