Under 12C Vs Colleges Untd (Semi Final)

Colleges United 2 Western Spirit 3- A fantastic game of football was on show, we dominated the first fifteen mins but could not put the ball in the net,Colleges defence was holding out and they were well up for the game,they went ahead against the run of play,a quick move and caught our defence flat footed and they scored,not long after we went 2 nil down,some suicide defending in the box where our defender thought the keeper had it and vice versa, it fell kindly to the Colleges player and it was 2-0, we thought we had a goal back just before half time but for some reason it was not given,half time we had a talk with the players and made a few tactical changes, our keeper went in to right midfield and it paid off, Mitchell Brooks broke through one on one with the keeper and bagged number 31 of the season, then came the second tactical switch,we put our right back in to centre midfield,again it paid off,Mitchell Brooks became provider and set up Dylan Applebee for a brilliant goal,we then put in wave after wave of attack,but full time and it was 2-2,on to extra time and it was another fantastic move,the Colleges keeper missed the flight of the ball and Jazz Mejias was there to finish it off,they tried to come back at us but we held out,and had the ball in the net with a superb chip on the keeper by Jacob Cambell but it was ruled offside,but we held out and the players were overjoyed,that was the fourth time we had played Colleges this season and the first time we have beaten them,i would like to thank all the players for an amazing game,on now to the Grand Final,it is going to ba a cracker,LETS GO SPIRIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
