U11 Div 1 v Centenary 21 June

After a demoralizing loss last week it was important to get a result from this game. Centenary had given stiff opposition to all the front runners so it was going to be an interesting test to see how the boys took them on. Thankfully, we got over them 1-0 and probably it should have been more but our strikers, quite expectedly, lacked a littrle confidence. There were multiple times that the ball was infront of goal and not buried in the net.

The goal came from a left foot screamer by Locky from near the edge of the penalty area.

A good one to get under our belt and now we're ready for colleges next week.

Just a side note, Taringa defeated Lions 2-0 this week which, since we beat Taringa the previous week, makes our loss to Lions that much harder to take!
